Frequently Asked Questions
General
I live and work in Antwerp, Beligum. If you’re local, feel free to ask about pickups or private appointments!
Yes! Every piece is designed and crafted by hand, by me, in my studio. From sketching to moulding, polishing, and packaging – it’s all done with care, one piece at a time.
It's just me, Lauri, one person behind the bench, not a team or factory. This is a one-woman studio, which means everything is made with intention, care, and a deeply personal touch. When you support my work, you’re supporting a real human and her craft.
Shipping & Returns
All of my pieces are made to order, which means I only start production once the order is complete. This way, I avoid overstocking and wasting materials.
I'm generally able to ship within 2 weeks, but as a precaution I ask to please allow 2-4 weeks of production time before shipping.
For custom pieces, the timeline may vary depending on the complexity of the design.
Don't worry, I’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
Absolutely. Shopify offers a range of different shipping providers so that you can always choose one that covers your area.
Shipping times and fees vary depending on your location.
All orders are shipped via registered mail and come with a tracking code. Once your package is on its way, you’ll receive an email with the tracking details so you can follow its journey to your doorstep.
If you’re on a tight timeline, send me a message before ordering. I will do my best to accommodate rush requests whenever possible, but please note that a rush fee may apply depending on how quickly the piece is needed.
Besides quality and customer satisfaction, sustainability is something I value deeply. Lauri JWLRY isn’t a company — it’s just me, handcrafting each piece to order. I don’t keep stock, and every item is made specifically for the person who orders it. Unfortunately, I can’t take a bespoke ring, gently remove the stones, and recycle them and the metal; I’d simply have to hope someone comes along who wants that exact design in that exact size.
Accepting returns would not only be unsustainable for my small-scale process, it would compromise the care and intention I pour into each piece. As a one-woman studio, I just don’t have the resources to restock or remake items due to a change of heart.
I completely understand that ordering jewelry online can feel like a leap, which is why I’m always happy to answer any questions before you place your order, so you can feel confident in your choice.
Thank you for supporting slow fashion and independent craftsmanship.
Customization & Sizing
Totally! I love working one-on-one to bring meaningful designs to life.
Anything is possible: creating something entirely new, or minor tweaks to my existing designs. Changing the color, shape, and size, of any gemstones, the intensity of textures or lack thereof... whatever you can come up with, I will do my best to accomodate.

Engraving is available on most pieces. Let me know what you have in mind, and I’ll let you know what is possible.
If you scroll around my instagram you will find multiple items that have intricate engravings in them!
We offer two ways to get an accurate measurement of your finger.
- You can order our ring sizer. It costs €5, and includes a €5 voucher for when you buy a ring. This is the most certain way you can measure your size without consulting your local jeweler.
- Alternatively, you can use our ring sizing document. Print it (make sure the scale is set to 100%), and follow the steps to find your size. This is a free alternative, but we recommend using a ruler to check if the scale is correct.
- No printer? No worries! The most certain and completely free method is to ask a local jewelry shop to get your measurement.
DISCLAIMER
We strongly advise against using a string or something similar to measure your ringsize, as most are stretchy and pose a risk of giving a wrong result. A millimeter matters!
Please keep in mind that we do not accept returns, so it is of the utmost importance that you order your ring in the correct size.
Some rings – and I do mean some rings – can be resized, although it depends on the design.
Stretching a ring can be fairly simple.
- "Plain" rings without gemstones can, at best, be stretched and filed up 1 or 2 sizes before you risk cracking the metal.
- Rings with gemstones can be stretched up 1 size at the absolute most before cracking the gems becomes too great a risk.
Shrinking a ring is a whole other animal.
- Without gems, I can saw out a piece and solder the ring back together to just about any size. This, of course, may alter the look of the design greatly.
- Most gemstones however can not withstand the heat of soldering and would need to be broken out and reset. I strongly advise against this.
If you’re unsure, do not hesitate to ask for advice or help before placing your order.
The cost of resizing a ring depends on the complexity of the design.
Materials & Craftmanship
I work with solid gold (18k), sterling silver (S925) from certified precious metal retailers, and gemstones from certified and regulated gemstone retailers. Every material is selected with care for quality and longevity.
Generally, no. For larger or high-value stones, certified options are available upon request.
Let me know your preferences and I’ll source accordingly.
Care & Repair
Each order comes with a polishing cloth and storage box.
With the polishing cloth you can easily remove oxidation by firmly rubbing it over the surface of your piece. It will turn black by using it, this means it's working! Never wash it, as the polishing product will wash off and the cloth will lose its effectiveness.
Please note that although gold-plated pieces also come with this cloth, using it will cause the gold layer to wear off faster.
To keep your jewelry looking its best: avoid harsh chemicals, take it off before washing your hands, showering, swimming or sleeping, and store it in its included box or a soft pouch.
I do offer repairs for my own work, and in some cases, I can help restore older pieces too.
Please send a photo with a description of the issue before returning an item to me, and I’ll let you know what’s possible and give you a price estimate of the repair.
Yes, I offer a 6-month warranty on craftsmanship, starting from the date of delivery. If anything goes wrong due to a flaw in materials or workmanship, I’ll repair it at no cost.
This warranty does not include wearer damage or loss.
